Mitchel Benovoy, PhD, is a serial entrepreneur and researcher specializing in medical technology. He is the CEO of Area19 Medical and ViTAA Medical Solutions in Montreal, focusing on medical imaging and artificial intelligence solutions. Dr. Benovoy completed holds a PhD in biomedical engineering and has founded and exited two successful medtech AI companies. As a recognized figure in the medical technology sector, he has transitioned from research to entrepreneurship, emphasizing the application of cutting-edge technologies in real-world healthcare applications.

Dr. Nadia Giannetti is a McGill and Stanford-trained Advanced Heart Failure cardiologist with leadership experience at the McGill University Health Centre, where she served as Chief of Cardiology and Associate Physician-in-Chief. She has also held key roles with the Canadian Cardiovascular Society and in shaping the Canadian Heart Failure Guidelines. Dr. Giannetti leads a major research biorepository focused on cardiovascular signatures.

Her MIT training in 'Al in healthcare' has been instrumental to her in co-founding several med- tech startups, including Vitruvius, where she serves as Chief Medical Officer. In this role, she provides clinical insights to health tech companies and scouts new ventures for the ecosystem.

Marisa Giannetti, a Montreal corporate/ commercial lawyer, has had a distinguished career in law, corporate governance, and nonprofit leadership.

She spent 17 years as in-house counsel for the Real Estate Division of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and has served as legal consultant to Plaza Retail REIT for the past decade.

A committed community leader, Marisa spent 10 years on the board of the Douglas Mental Health Institute Foundation, including five years as Chair. She currently serves on the Board of Governors at Marianopolis College, where she has held the position of Chair for the last two years. In recent years, Marisa has also become active in early-stage investing, supporting innovative seed and Series A companies.

Dr. Ragui Ibrahim is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and a leader in healthcare innovation.

Trained at the University of Montreal, he now serves as the Head of the Interventional Cardiology Division at Pierre Boucher Hospital.

Dr. Ibrahim is known not only for his expertise in cardiology but also for his entrepreneurial spirit and passion for technology’s role in transforming healthcare. He has spearheaded the development of a cutting-edge electronic medical record (EMR) system and leads multiple AI-driven healthcare projects.

As a founding partner in several successful companies focused on artificial intelligence, Dr. Ibrahim combines his medical expertise and tech-savvy approach to create impactful solutions that advance patient care.

Pascal’s mission is to leverage technology to enhance the quality of life within society. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Université Laval and has furthered his studies at Polytechnique Montréal and McGill University. During his doctoral studies, he specialized in human-robot collaboration, working with CHU de Québec to develop a robot for cancer treatment.

His passion for entrepreneurship led him to participate in programs such as Entrepreneuriat Laval, McGill’s Experimental Surgery, and Centech. This experience inspired him to cofound Corstem, a company focused on AI-driven cardiac imaging software.

In 2019, Corstem was successfully acquired by Circle Cardiovascular Imaging, a global leader in cardiac imaging. Following the acquisition, Pascal managed product and business operations at Circle while also advising and investing in over a dozen startups. In 2022, he returned to the startup ecosystem, joining Centech as an Entrepreneur in Residence.
